Paul is the Executive Director of the Open Education Consortium. Prior to joining the Open Education Consortium Paul spent five years as Associate Director of Global Learning for Creative Commons where he helped creators, faculty, students, librarians and the public generate a global public commons of knowledge and culture.

While at Creative Commons he co-authored the book Made With Creative Commons - a book about open business models. In addition to his role as Executive Director for the Open Education Consortium Paul serves on the REMODEL Expert Panel, a circle of specialists in open source, IP, business development & innovation who help develop REMODEL: a non-profit initiative to explore the future of open source-based business models for manufacturing.
